New Year is a time to reflect and plan. This one more than most – we’re on the cusp of major worldwide changes and challenges, in uncertain times, given the economic situation and environmental and political state of affairs. So what sort of future do we face?

The Limited Company is the mainstay of the Western Economic system and the main component of the stock markets. Their growth, and hence support from investors, is based on their quarterly and annual results, that are based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in their local, quoting market. For more than a century, those standards have been set locally by accounting bodies and boards, for and on behalf of their own Governments. This is about to change.
